Brad Donnelly
Chartered Physiotherapist, BSc, MSc
Growing up in regional Sydney, Australia my dream from a young age was to play professional rugby league. By 16 I was representing West Tigers in the National Rugby League. My dreams however changed when I dislocated my shoulder twice and required a full shoulder reconstruction.
Throughout my shoulder rehabilitation, I fell in love with the process and made the decision that I would rather fix athletes and enable people to strive for better, then continue to injure myself. From that day on I pursued a life as a physiotherapist and haven’t looked back since.
I completed a Master’s of Physiotherapy at Sydney University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Science at Western Sydney University. With two degrees and post graduate training in dry needling, casting, myofascial cupping, reformer Pilates and rehabilitation of sports injuries, my primary goal is to improve the quality of life of others and help facilitate achievement of client goals, no matter how big.
My holistic treatment approach encompasses individualised rehabilitation plans which are unique and specific to my clients. I value the importance of restoring functional movement through strength and conditioning, exercise, and education to empower people and achieve optimal outcomes. I utilise a variety of effective treatment tools including dry needling, manual therapy, soft tissue massage, compression recovery systems and shockwave therapy.
My special clinical interests include sports related injuries, injury prevention, dry needling and rehabilitation of the knee and ankle. I have developed a passion for running and enjoy optimising running performance through strength and conditioning. My experience working with football teams has allowed me to treat a multitude of acute and chronic sports injuries with the soul focus of improving athletic performance and getting players back on the field as soon as possible.
I am a lover of the outdoors and enjoy time at the beach, gym, playing golf and hiking/exploring. I’m also a keen runner and have commenced training for my second marathon, you’ll find me running along the Thames and around Clapham Common most days.
